We would like to personally apologise for a problem that we had today stopping you sending and receiving emails.
Our servers are managed 24/7 by one of the leading UK based hosting companies. In the five years that we have used them, I can honestly say that a situation like this has never happened. There is no such thing as 100% up time. Glitches do happen from time to time. However, the length of the problem today was not acceptable. The problem occurred during a routine security update to the mail servers. This happened at 10.52am. It was not resolved until 3.17pm. I have had full reassurances that this is a one off and would like to reassure you of the quality and support of our service.
